Welcome to Ridge Runner German Shepherd Dogs, thanks for taking time to view our site, where our only interest  is to breed & raise the best all around working line German Shepherd dog.  Our dogs will be bred for health, temperament, workability, intelligence, and conformation. I have a passion for the breed and you can see it in ALL my dogs. I am just going to be a hobby breeder of working lines German Shepherds and only occasionally produce litters,no more than one litter a year, of which I will have a waiting list, so reservations are recommended. I will select the best stud dog available for this breeding.  If I don't have atleast two people interested in the planned breeding, then I will not do it.  All of my dogs are or will be when they come of age  OFA , A- Stamped, or FCI certified to insure good hips. I also guarantee, in writing, the health and every dog is sound, stable temperament.  My dogs are gentle with children and people of all ages. All my dogs are or will be registered with AKC and micro chipped. We feed a 50/50 diet of raw meat and Flint River kibble. All my dogs love fresh & canned vegetables and fruits also. If you want to be an active pet owner, Schutzhund competitor, Search and Rescue, Police K-9, Handicap companion, Therapy dog, Guard dog, or personal protection, my dogs will grace your life and make you see what a joy training a magnificent GSD can be. I hope my dogs will produce  solid blacks , bi-colors & sables.  My favorite is the dark sables. I will also ship or drive your dog to you if you can't make it to my house. We don't have the luxury of a near by Schutzhund club but we will be actively training our dogs for schutzhund and competitive obedience with a small training group. Not only do we enjoy the time spent training and bonding with our dogs; this also helps us to evaluate our dogs for future breeding choices. First and foremost, the dogs are our companions and members of our family. We will maintain a small breeding program to ensure our dogs get quality time. We will have put a tremendous amount of time and effort in establishing a breeding program when we get it kicked off  and hope it all pays off by building our reputation into a solid one. We can put you in touch with a friend that offers training as well. They have a two week program for basic obedience available now. They keep your dog with them for two weeks and it is guaranteed when you get it back it will know all of its basic obedience. Cost is $600

In my belief proper socialization and imprinting the first 8 weeks here with us is very crucial in the pups’ development. Our puppies will be whelped and raised in our home with our family; not outside in a kennel. We are going to use the"Bio Sensor" program for early neurological stimulation.  Here is the link to the article where I got the idea from www.breedingbetterdogs.com/achiever.html They are exposed to children, adults, other animals, dogs and all household noises, and different surfaces. We will handle pups extensively from birth on with a stimulating environment to best produce a confident and social puppy. A friend of mine will do temperament testing at 7 weeks. I still feel the best evaluation is from observing the puppies in their daily interactions with their mother, littermates, people & their environment. By 8 weeks, we should have a very strong assessment of each puppy as far as their temperaments & drives. This then helps us in our selection process for our clients in making the best possible match. We will take great time and care in placing each one of our pups. Once a pup goes home, this process then continues with the owner in order to bring this dog to its fullest potential. We are then available for support to our owners for the lifetime of the dog.

All  Ridge Runner German Shepherd K9 Puppies are Healthy, Happy, Vibrant individuals that have been very well socialized, handled and loved from the moment they were born. It is of the utmost importance to us to preserve the strong working abilities of this breed. The goal of our breeding program will be to produce excellence in working GSD's and outstanding family companions. We will breed for intelligence, health, exceptional temperament, strong drives, a high desire to please, and correct structure. I believe ALL puppies are a gamble, but I hope our puppies should be suitable for example:  schutzhund, AKC obedience, agility, SAR, therapy & assistance, herding, law enforcement, personal protection, and beloved family members. We will always maintain a small hobby breeding program that allows us to give the time needed to devote to the care, training and welfare of each of our dogs. I will strive to produce a dog that is not only a joy to work; but also a devoted partner.  If you are looking for a young started dog or a titled adult; we do occasionally know where to find  quality dogs available for sale.
